| Objective To reduce the product weight and reduce costs without influencing the product performance. Methods The steel packaging tube was replaced by glass reinforced plastic packaging tube, and tested for mechanical properties, waterproof performance and airtight performance. The two kinds of packaging tubes were compared. Results The product perfomance met the requirements for product usage, including surface quality, size, mechanical properties, water resistance and air tightness. Conclusion Successful technological improvement was achieved by replacing the steel packaging tube with glass reinforced plastic packaging tube, which reduces the production cost, gains price advantage, and enhances the market competitiveness. |
