Mould compensation is an effective way to eliminate springback for sheet forming process. Displacement Adjustment method is efficient in springback correction, but computation accuracy and iteration speed vary greatly when compensation direction changes. Differences between reverse displacement compensation method(DD) and reverse normal compensation method(ND) are analyzed theoretically, and the applied characteristics for each are studied. An interpolation compensation method, which is based on judgment of element normal direction, is proposed and applied in springback compensation of S-rail. FE result shows that springback error is reduced by 73% after interpolation compensation, and interpolation compensation method is effective in springback correction for sheet forming. |
