      With the rise of China's machinery industry, automobile industry grows, bevel gear technology has been gradually replaced by the precision machining, so forging bevel gears will have greater demand and higher requirements. This paper expounds the definition and characteristics of gear precision forging technology, then summarizes the present status of precision forging technology in our country, and separately introduces the present status and development of the straight bevel gear precision forging technology in the hot forging, warm forging, cold forging and hot forging-cold forging forming technology.
