According to the thixotropic characteristics of semi-solid metal, the paper presentes that thixotropic strength is the stress corresponding at the thixotropic point and explaines the significance of research. Combined with the stress-strain curve of semi-solid alloy isothermal compression at the high solid fraction,the influence of thixotropic strength on exogenous variables and internal variables is studied. The exogenous variables include heating temperature, strain rate and holding time. The internal variables include solid-phase volume fraction, grain size, grain sphericity, structural parameters, solid-phase yield strength and the initial apparent viscosity of semi-solid materials. |
