| The paper introduces an example of a typical casting to remove hot tearing defect. The possibility of hot tearing formation is simulated by the casting simulation software-ProCAST under different casting structures and different casting techniques. The optimized casting structure and casting technique are obtained. Production verification is carried out and the result is basically in accordance with the simulation. |
