      This article analyzes the structure and process of MT-3 draft gear center wedge, deals with the blank-making of fork-type forgings and optimization of the pre-forging structure of forgings with thin walls and high ribs. Meanwhile this article introduces the numerical simulation of the forging process of the center wedge by DEFORM software.
