In this paper, applications and development of vacuum electron beam welding technology in joining of different materials were introduced, including aluminum and its alloy, steel, copper and its alloy, titanium and its alloy, refractory metal (W, Ta, Nb, Mo), intermetallic compound and composite. Achievements obtained by domestic and overseas investigators were briefly stated, including processes, microstructures, numerical simulation and mechanical properties. Existing problems of electron beam welding in joining of materials were analyzed, and the development trend of electron beam welding technology should focus on high temperature and structural materials, dissimilar materials, functional composite materials and et al. The theoretical basis of the process was enriched. The relationship between processes, microstructures and mechanical properties was revealed, and the application of electron beam welding technology was expanded. |
