| The slicing technology for rapid prototyping based on STL model is studied. The reconstruction of STL model topology, the classification and sorting based on geometrical feature, the grouping and sorting based on geometrical continuity, the calculation of intersection points by slice plane and the construction of slice contour are discussed, and the shortcoming and the future research direction are pointed out. |
