The loading characteristics and requirements of quality of connecting rods are introduced in this paper. The techniques of casting, powder forging and forging steel of connecting rods are pointed out in the meantime. For connecting rods with large and different sections, a precise compound forging process of whole roll forging and die forging is presented using the advantages of roll forging. At last, up-to-date development on technology "crack parting" forging is introduced. |
